Review: ZUU – Denzel Curry

This is the fourth studio album from Florida rapper Denzel Curry and boy does it SLAP. Though this album doesn’t tell as compelling a narrative as Curry’s last project TA13OO, it has a consistently aggressive aesthetic. You have straight BANGERS like 2. RICKY and slower more melodic songs like 3. WISH (feat. Kiddo Marv) which help change the pace of the album. The main drawback I find from this album is the placement of the skits and length of them. A few of them are placed one after another near the end of the album which gets bothersome. Although ZUU doesn't display Curry's versatility as well as his previous record did, this is still a solid trap-rap album with tons of energy.
